| Sample Write Up These are 2 example writeups, we don't expect this much from you, but it gives you an idea of what to do. Writeup For: Feb/Mar Charicter: Count Kharlamov Player: Bill Snure Aftermath of Influence War I had 40 points left over when the session ended on Saturday night. I will be using this as follows in the aftermath of the influence war. -We will be backtracking the Sabat influence used against us in the war and be trying to capture or destroy what we can. In all cases we will be keeping track of what was used for future efforets in this regard. A priority will be placed in the following order -Beauraracy to be captured first -Capture what Media we can find. -Capture Industry Technology -Capture Police -Destroy University -Destroy Street -Capture Underworld -Capture Construction -Capture Political -Capture Millitary I know that not even a fraction of the list will be able to be done. Tell me what I can do given those priorities. If I can I will try to convert some of the influence into Allies or Contacts or maybe even Retainers by trying to use the possibility of keeping what their part in the destruction of the night was secrete in exchange for future 'favours' and than blackmail them into helping me in the future. I know that I gained .2 temporary Police this way for the battle and I will be trying to do the same with those sources. Any Lupine Influences that can be identified will be noted and left alone for now as we don't need another war right now. Some influence will be kept in reserve to allow the police to bring to us The Chief of the CBC, The head news Director of CTV, Alan Waters of CHUM, Les Pyette of the SUN, John Honderich of the STAR, and the publisher of the Globe & Mail. The Brigadier will be dominating them into co-operating with us to co-ordinate the story of the attack. These can be used to pick up perminant Media points lateron. Press Release A press release will be issued immediatly after the city is safe and will be a joint effort between all the movers and shakers we can lay out fangs on. Honderich Toronto Star -Publisher of the Globe & Mail This will emphisise the attacks are over and everything possible that can be done will be done to solve them. The attacks were a result of an as yet unheard of terrorist group calling itself "The Balkan Truth League". That durring their attack they released in some of the explosions some fast acting but quick to wear off Halucinigenic gas. As yet no side effects have been ID'd and none are expected. A well accredetted lab (Aleks the Brigs!) is working on the situation and bullitans will be issued if something is necessary to be done. The public is not to pannic but leave the authorities to deal with the effects of the attack to them. A 'hotline will be set up to take any tips the public has to offer. Any information is to be submitted to Toronto Police for investigation. The cities population is to return to normal life and everything will get back to normal that much quicker. Toronto will grow and recover from this and we are open for busisness. Mention of the spontanious formation of Citizen Defence Forces will be made and of their protection of the priceless artifacts in the ROM lead by wellknown local philanthropists Alistar Stweart and retired Swiss Army Colonol Valeri Kharlamov who happened to be there at the time of attack and took over the defense of the building and its treasures. Letter of Responsibility The following letter will be sent to Robs paper as well as copies to all major toronto news outlets. The Police influence will be helpful to gather them up and make sure that anything that can link us to them is not found. They will be faxed taps in the phone lines gotten from my Communications influence to help this out. To the decadent western supressors of the free people of the world we bring greetings. We bring you what you have been bringing to the rest of the world through your greed and lies. We bring you the fear and death that you bring to those who are too weak to defend themselves from your imperailist agressions. For your crimes against the people of the world we sentenence you to be executed in your sleep as you so freely do to those you supress. For your unlawful detention and framing of innocents we condem you! This is only the beguinning! This war will never end as long as the lieing decadent west supresses free people the world over. Cower in thedark and prepare for the next strike when you expect to be safe. The Balkan Truth League. Aleks, this is of course completely fictional and vague so we can direct it towards what we need to to keep it as far from us as possible. Speculation will be running wild over this new group and will be promoted as much as we can to muddy the waters as much as possible. This will include speculation on: -Was it a plot by Islamic extreamists and using a cover? -Was it revenge for the trial of Slobodan Milosovitch? -Is it Chetchian forces angry at the wests lack of support? -Is it home made terrorists? Antiglobalization? Anti Mike Harris? -Is it possibly a plot by Greek terrorists___ to destabilize the 2004 Olympics? -Is it possibly African involvement? Nigerian? Somallian? Other? -Is there a resurgence of Communism? -And even wilder flights of fancy will be made on an almost daily basis. Monthly Influence Use 1) Beauraracy: I will be giving the proposed new airline approved to use the Island Airport a big push. (See later points for this) 2) Communications: Phone taps will be made to allow a fax to be sent through without being traceable. 3) Finance: I will be having my Ghoul Ted Rogers make a takeover of CHUM Ltd. of which I am a major shareholder from previous writeups. This will than be an oppertunity for myself to be put on the Board of Directors and get me some more Media influence in the city. This will be needed to help out in the covering up of the events of the last little while. 4) Construction: I will be keeping my ears open for any news of the rebuilding of the citys losses. 5) University: I will be getting top quality researchers for the new electronics plant currently building from last months writeup. (R. K. Reasearch Technology). I will also be trying to get as many of Davids former people ousted as I can if it is known that David perrished in the battle. If he didn't than I will be keeping a close watch on him as I can. 6) Technology: I will be having the plant above get as much of a head start as they can on people and equiptment to produce a jam proof or jam resistant cellular phone technology. Research will be done as fast as possible to get the jump on any competetors that may have the same idea as us. With the recent problems encountered it should be a winner if we can get it started right away. 7, 8, &9) Media, Police, and Street: I will be using what I have left of media and any that I may have been able to scoop, as well as the police and street, to make sure that any private photos that may be roumoured to exist of the war ghouls or any other 'problematic' things (breachs of the Masquerade) are obtained by reliable sources and be burried and forgotten. Street to find the problem stuff in the firstplace, media and police to supress anything that comes to light as 'matters of National security'. The cover story will be prominantly pushed as well (see below). What we can use for public support of the story we will though. If there is anything that can be put in the papers to support our story it will go in as well as passing it along to Robs paper. Monthly Busisness 1) I will be setting up a new commuter airline that will be using the Island Airport as its base. This will be of use as the loss of terminal 1 will be a blow to the city, it is centrally located downtown, and it is not dependant on routes using the dammaged Gardner. It will be called "Dark Horse Air" and start flying twice daily flights between Toronto-Boston and Toronto-Chicago. New routes will be added as necessary. We want to attract the busisness traveler and will be pushing this as a convient, cost effective safe alternative to the current options available. We will be leasing 4 Dash-8 commuter airplanes from Black Stallion Helecopters (conviently owned by me as well). We will be issuing 600,000 public, non-voting shares for an innitial price of $5.50 with the future option of issuing 200,000 more for the innitial offering price reserved for myself to purchase. 1a) I will be doing the same with the new company researching the cell phone technology R. K. Research Technology. (prounounced ArK with the corporate symbol being a styalised lightning strike) 600,000 shares at an innitial price of $4.25 will be issued with an option of 200,000 more later for this innitial price. 2) Between the 2 new companies we will be jointly picking up the NASCAR sponsership of Todd Bodine who has just lost the K-Mart sponsership. He has, in a very fortutious move, also won the pole for the Las Vegas Dalimer-Chrisler 400 on March 3- BONUS! This will get them out in the public eye at the most watched sporting events in North America. 3) A speeded up Waterfront Re-development with the burrying of the Gardner Expressway will be put foward by the Kharlamov Foundation and myself at a news conference called just after the war ends. I will also be announcing the creation of a fund to help the family of the victoms of the February 11th attacks on the city. I will be getting the ball rolling with a personal donation of $750,000. This will be in a trust fund and be highly promoted like the September 11th funds were. 4) My funeral home will be preforming the services for the Brigadiers company as agreed by us previously. Creamation-$1500; Interment-$750; Perpetual Care-$150 Total $2400 per body. (the perpetual care isn't necessary for creamation but it will be charged anyways and pocketed) 5) The Skydome bunker will be cleaned out and rendered safe again. 6) Jarvis Meat Packers will be monitered closely for any signe of activity or use and the sheriffs notified at once for investigation as needed. 7) I will be sending out word of a summer Brujah Debate to be held in Toronto with the topic to be "Modern terrors and our part in them". 9) I will be seeking out the surviving Setites and seeking access to their library and research items. I will be hoping to continue my studies of the Sabat as well as finding out all I can about the Lupines society and nature. 10) The Great Lakes Institute will be putting out a press release on the attacks. This will state that it is the actions of Balkan Terrorists with the possibility of co-operation of other terrorist orginizations. We will conclude that it is very likely the only effort that will be put foward as the scale of the attack would prohibit any new attacks on such a massive scale again. Small, isolated attacks though may be expected after a short cooling off peroid in the future. 12) I will be going through Orvils personal effects looking for aincient blood stocks. I will also be looking for anything that I may transfer to myself that could be useful. Also any leftover stocks from the attack will be processed through me and stored for future use. 13) I will be taking an inventory of any surviving street kindred as well as contacting McArthy to get his story of the attack. 14) The Ringling Bros Circus will be as closely watched as I can with what we have left. 15) The Kharlamov Foundation will be issuing a public Certifficate Of Commendation to the Toronto Ploice Department, the Toronto Fire Department, Toronto Ambulance, the OPP, Imperial Britania Security Forces, Toronto Millitia Forces, Canadian Armed Forces, and anyone else involved in the attacks on our side. These will be large, Ornate scrolls presented by myself as head of the Charitable society to as high officials as we can get. Lots of press will be made of this to deflect attention from what acctually happened. 16) If it is known that either or both David and von Richtaven died in the battle I will be having the Gieovani summon them for interrigation. I will be asking them: -Location and how to enter the Library (we also have the ghost report here) -Ohter areas of Toronto the Sabat controls or has intrests in -Future sabat plans for the area -What they know of the Little Tailor -Sabat activities in Boston and Chicago -Black Hand involvement in the area -Sabat opperatives in southern ontario area 17) I will also want to speak with Lelogulue through the Gieovani. -How the chain mail works safely -what occult type weapons or magic is in the ROM -what his library has to offer on the lupines/sabat etc. -How many Setites with age and gen are in Toronto? -Where are your blood stashes? -What are the Setites currently involved in in the area? 19) I will be consulting Nikolai about the background and quallifications of Ms. Blackwell. Conclusions You were going to let me know about: -The results of the destruction of the city -The fates of David, von Richtaven, The Black Hand troopers -McArthys part in the war -The translation of the spanish paper we captured Veritas Ante Write-Up for October 20, 2001, Part One Part A: The Event We gathered to discuss the recent fall of the city of Ottawa. Present were myself, the Keeper, the Prince, Alstair, Cullim, Dalton, and a new Kindred called Marcus, a refugee from Ottawa. It wasn't long until a package arrived, delivered by an individual who was later revealed to be a hunter. The package contained a stake with Orville's name on it. Shortly thereafter we were attacked by a sniper. The sniper also left a trap behind him which exploded and hurt me. After this episode a spoke with the Prince who explained how he was dividing the city in discreet sections and divisions for defense. I then heard rumors that a certain 'Jimmy the Snake' was responsible for the recent drug related deaths. Also I encountered a strange elder named 'David' who had an extensive network of secret rooms and passages in the library. We found out more information on the hunter; he frequented a variety of churches using many aliases and was likely a ghoul. I overheard Orville say he was taking Dalton to the rack, considering their relationship I will follow behind them in obfuscate. I had several interesting conversations with Orville, which are outlined below. Oh, and my appointment to Seneschal was made permanent. Part B: Influences Occult (2/2) I will be using this influence to try and figure who that 'David' character is, and if he's up to anything important. (i.e. hit up sources for info.) Part C: Actions Orville told me of an anti-terrorism company which will soon go public and will rapidly soar in value. I am using my boon from Alstair to obtain several hundred thousand dollars ($250,000-$500,000, I'm not sure exactly how much he has). This money will be invested in the company. Hopefully allowing a gain in resources and some control over it. The shares will be in the name of Mr. Elliot Spencer, an identity that I will create. He is a refugee from the race riots in Zimbabwe. His identity documents were destroyed when his farm was burned. Thus he will receive new authentic papers from the Federal Government. (For tax purposes the money transfer will be disguised as a signing bonus with Alstair's company). Orville and I discussed a plan to obtain influence of Phoenix. She likes to spy, this flaw can be used against her. At the next gathering Orville and I will quite overtly go to have a secret conversation. Chances are she'll follow. When she does we will confront her and claim we were engaged in city business as Seneschal and Keeper. The price for us to forgive the transgression will be for her to owe a major boon to each of us. Orville wants to kill Dalton. Dalton is a friend. Orville is a friend. This poses a problem. Orville and I discussed various methods of how we will kill Dalton, something which I'm not sure I desire to do, but when it comes down to it Orville is a much more useful ally, but likely much less loyal. Also a matter of honor is at stake as well. Fortunately he plans to make no immediate action which will give me sometime to maneuver. One offspring of this plan was a plot which will go forward regardless: to assassinate the Bishop of Ottawa. This will throw the Sabbat into disarray and allow us to launch a counter-offensive. Myself and Orville will be the combat forces and Dalton will be there to support (Auspex). The original idea was to use this to cover Dalton's death, but it is a good plan even without that unsavory part. I will heal the damage that I took in the explosion. Note that I now desire vengeance on that hunter. This month I will only keep an eye out for him until I receive an opportunity to strike. I plan to arrange a meeting of the Kindred in my domain, scout out the coteries and determine the best method to defend my area. Just an observation but I sense a feudal system developing in which the Prince grants land to his underlings in exchange for military service, then the underlings sub-divide this land to their underlings in exchange for service and so on. This might actually be a really good way to run the city. I may or may not contact the Elder (David) in part two of this write-up depending on the results of my influence actions. Part D: Experience, Rules and Out-of-Game I have 8 experience, which I will save in order to buy Advanced Potence (Puissance). (Only one more XP to go!) Ideally I'd like to buy this early (before the Ottawa encounter) but I will understand if you say no. Will I have to spend experience to buy the background if I manage to increase my resources? I would like to involve my Enemy flaw in game at some point, it would be an interesting challenge and help advance the character.
