No real weapons, no drugs, no alcohol.  No physical contact.
Exceptions are as follows:  If you wish to play a character whose lock pin and key is that he carries an enormous axe (though very few individuals are unstable enough to attempt this) You are welcome to make a cardboard, paper machee, or Styrofoam prop.  A Storyteller must approve these props.  An orange stripe or something similar will also help to identify it as fake.

Staking
(Not that we advocate constant use of staking, it's just that it seems to always come into play)

Manual = 2 tests, win on ties
Ranged = 2 tests, lose on ties
No retest ever.

Experience:
Experience will be awarded as follows.

Per event:
1 for showing up
1 for costume
1 for proper write-up

In addition to this each storyteller/narrator will have a pre-set number of experience that they will award for good role-playing and interesting use of their character (if you don't give us a character history, it will be extremely difficult to earn points)

Another way to earn experience in this game is through the "Wow that's cool" method... if you do something unbelievably cool, the storytellers may award you some experience

The last way to gain experience will be a bursary of experience awarded based on background, write up, and character concept (go nuts guys)

Character Creation
When creating a character, use common sense.  We are allowing the MET rules to be used and we are granting each player with an addition of 10 freebies on top of MET rules.  The storytellers reserve the right to reject any character concepts.

Ghouls
Any character may acquire ghouls through write-up and experience expenditure.  For example, if you wanted to ghoul a person who was proficient in Financial endeavors, you would first have to find a mortal with the Finance ability, ghoul them and then spend the experience to buy a level of retainers. Certain ghouls with high levels of ability may require the purchase of multiple levels of Retainers.

Blood and feeding
At the beginning of each event, make a simple test.  On a win you start with full blood pool, on a tie you start with half blood pool, and on a loss you start with one-quarter-blood pool.  You may retest on this challenge using the survival ability.  If you have a herd, you may expend a level of herd to raise your starting pool by one, up to your maximum blood pool.

Learning Out-of-Clan Disciplines
In order to learn an Out-of-Clan Discipline you must have one of your In-Clan Disciplines at one Level (not dot) above the Level you are attempting to learn (Intermediate to learn Basic, Advanced to Learn Intermediate, etc). If you have Two or more of your In-Clan Disciplines at Advanced, you may learn One Out-of-Clan Advanced Discipline, but no more than One (unless you have an Elder Level In-Clan Discipline of course). It takes one week per experience point to learn and you normally require a teacher.
You may never have more Out-Of-Clan Disciplines than you have In-Clan Disciplines, unless you have all of your In-Clan Disciplines at Advanced or higher.

Teaching Disciplines:
You may only teach In-Clan Disciplines. In order to teach a Discipline, you must have that Discipline at one Level (not dot) above the level you are attempting to teach (Intermediate to teach Basic, Advanced to teach Intermediate, etc).

Attribute Trait Maximums
Attribute trait maximums are staggered (as per optional rule). A character can have their Generational Max in their Primary Attribute, Generational Max minus 2 in their Secondary Attribute, and their Generational Max minus 4 in their Tertiary Attribute.

For example: Sally Toreador is 13th Gen. This gives her a Generational max of 10. When assigning her Primary/Secondary/Tertiary (7/5/3) attributes she puts 7 in Social, 5 in Mental and 3 in Physical. Her maximum traits would be 10 Social, 8 Mental and 6 Physical.

Negative Traits
As a rule of thumb, you should attempt to role-play out each of your negative traits once per session. IE: if you have 1 Shy Trait, you should attempt to portray this in 1 Scene or Conflict during the course of an evening. If you have 5 Shy Traits, you should attempt to portray this in 5 different Scenes or Conflicts. Of course you may decide that an action was very Shy and that portrayed 2 or more of your 5 traits for the evening

*Attention*

1.  This is Aleks World of Darkness. It will be related as
closely as possible to that of White Wolf, however, if this world differs from that of white wolf, me and my team do not need to hear about it.... trust me, I already know.

2.  This game is an open invite to all, everybody is welcome.  Characters and backgrounds are to be submitted to [email protected]

3.  Events are IN CHARACTER; once you enter the event you are in character, act accordingly.  Costumes are strongly suggested, as experience will be awarded in part based on your adequate portrayal of a character. We will be having a reality room for out of character interaction.

4.  We are willing to address any problems players might have (Lack of costume, lack of knowledge of world of darkness, or rules)

5.  We will be charging $2 an event cover.  This money will be used to cover event costs such as location rentals. If this is too much for any of our players to afford, they may address us personally.  We would be happy to contact a charity organization or homeless shelter for you should this be the case :p.  If indeed there is a problem with this, other arrangements can be made.
