When creating a character, use common sense.  We are allowing the MET rules to be used The storytellers reserve the right to reject any character concepts.

(a) We are not allowing advanced disciplines off creation.

(b) Certain Merits are restricted so see the storytellers for approval of all merits.

(c) Generation...You are free to use the regular rules in Laws of the Night. However we will be going over your histories and if you don't give us a good reason for being Eighth Generation, there will be problems. (Note:  There is now a 9th generation limit.  You may not buy down below that)

(d) Character History. All characters must have a history.  We will be providing all the tools needed to make a proper background, so we don't think this is too much to ask.

Here are some points that may be useful to include while writing a character history:

How old is the character?
Where has he/she lived?
What are her/his feeding habits?
Where is his/her haven?
What equipment does the character carry?
Who is her/his sire?
Is his/her sire still alive?
Has the character Diablerized?
Does the character have any Childer?
Does the character have any "Siblings" (Other children of her sire)?
What has she done to fight boredom?
What major events have been witnessed?
Has the character loved?
What hard decision has the character made?
What enemies does she have or has killed?
Who has the character tried to defeat and failed, and why did they fail?
Who has hurt the character?
What did the character do in mortal life?
What are the character's driving goals?
What does the character hope to accomplish in the short term?
What does the character hope to accomplish in the long term?
How has the character gained her Influence/Disciplines/Abilities/Morality
Path?

Hints on writing a rich background:

-Check out an encyclopedia or history book on the era and country your
character lived in. (Trust me you'll be surprised)

-If you do not feel comfortable with an era, remember, your character could
have been in torpor.

-Feel free to tie your character in to historical facts and figures, but only
superficially  You are not Albert Einstien, but you may have worked with
him.
