Kinsman, I think you missed my point as well. I did not mean to infer that I don't think reform cannot be accomplished from within. I do. Read my original post again. But I firmly believe that for results, it needs to be a consorted organized movement. If you're going to encourage people, why not do it in the direction that could do some good. The protestant movement was not individuals here with their secret thoughts--and they didn't have something like the Internet to give them an anonymous voice. Its the old "divided we fall, united we stand." I definitely think Witnesses could affect reform from within if some brave soul(s) would go to the effort to organize and bring their voices together as one. But it needs to be something like workers going on strike for higher wages and better benefits. The only one who has even come close to anything along that line is LE with the blood issue. But there are other issues that need reform as well, like disfellowshipping and shunning for such ridiculous reasons as disagreeing with 1914, eating lunch with a disassociated one, and denying people freedom of thought and choice.
