I can't say I've noticed your responses about books.
My impression was that your comment suggested this was a great opportunity to take up - unsolicited, and something of real value. I expected to see a link with the CONTENTS of something really secret or rare - instead I saw something advertised, the contents of which have been available on the Internet for years.
If this became a regular feature of the board, I think it would detract from it.
However, that said, I think posting links to places where books can be got in response to people's requests, or even information about it would be fine from my perspective.
Even a post which said: "A copy of the Flock Book is being advertised here ..." wouldn't have affronted me. It was the comment in your post which solicited, not the link itself as I pointed out earlier.
I was affronted because I felt deceived, and felt that I was being solicited to buy it.
(I'm rambling).
But if "Hard-Core Door-Banging JW" was a description of me, you don't know me well (smile).
