I never would have known you'd be so easily "affronted". Are you sure that's the word you wanted to use?
But I couldn't count the times in the past year or so, I've posted links to
other books and documents, many of them for sale. Take this for instance:
A book is being discussed here at H2O, and a long thread develops, and the inevitable question comes up:
"Where can I buy a copy of this book?"
A link is
supplied to Amazon.Com or Barnes&Noble.Com
and there you can not only see a cover of the book, but the price of the book + shipping, and last but not least, see and read what people who have read the book are saying about the book, and
giving their own rating and critical review of the book, plus sometimes the author of the book will have some comments posted.

Is that an "Advertising/Solicitation" Violation in your little moderator book? And if not, how does a link like that appreciably differ from the link I provided?

the VERY LAST people to make allegations of soliciting!!!
