I already have tried seeing eye to eye with him, Rick. He's proud, even boastful of the fact that he does not have to explain his actions to anyone. Back when I was making all the fuss over my original deleted post (which was only slightly louder than the general indignant outcry from the crowd), you came on the board, not directly speaking to me, but speaking to the group in general, and advised us all to post directly to Moderator 14, attempting to "establish detente" with him.
Remember? This was after I had already posted one calm, respectful inquiry into the reason for the deletion of my post, and received his snotty, "I'm-above-all-this" response with that ridiculous farce of a reason for removing it. When I saw your post I immediately tried again, in a post entitled, "Attempting Detente with M14." It was a respectful post. I reined in all my insinuation, sarcasm, and satire and spoke straight. Remember the result? He couldn't be bothered to answer, not even long enough to say, "I'm not going to discuss this with you." And that's been his method all along: say nothing. "I'm not accountable to these people."
So he made you look like a laughingstock, for suggesting that we try detente with him. He made Kristin look foolish by deleting a post after she answered it using her moderator name, and praised its content. He doesn't respect you, Rick. He doesn't respect H2O. He doesn't care about your thinking. He does what he wants, regardless of what you guys are doing. It just occasionally happens to coincide with something you think is a good thing.
I'm not sure what your point is about corporate America, but I do know this... if I hire a man to clean my office, and when I come in I find that the furniture, files, computers, fixtures and wall hangings are gone, I'm not going to stand there saying, "By golly, he sure did take out all the trash, didn't he! Just like I hired him to do."
