TOUR NOTES
EUROPE
U.S. tour finishes up, two days off (barely time enough to do laundry & fight with the girlfriend ),  then over to Europe for six weeks or so, which was TOO GOOD! As Mike Monroe once said., "I'm gonna take a holiday..."  Dubbed the 'Rock and Roll Terrorists Tour', this tour ruled! Amsterdam, tour bus, crazy crowds (hey - they know the words!), more booze than we could drink, and lots of pretty girlies... Even got to sight see a good bit. Went to Dachau - very important to me, Swiss Alps - stunning. Our tour partners for all of Europe were Dusseldorf glam punx par excellence, the Happy Revolvers! Great band, kinda early Manic Street Preachers meets Hanoi Rocks. They have a full length on the German label, People Like You Records, which you should seek out immediately! Their drummer, Steffano is a dead ringer for Ricky Ratt from the Trash Brats! We  immediately hit it off with the Revolvers, who were unbelievably cool & the perfect tour partners. Every night they'd come out for our encore and play "Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory"/"Born to Lose"/"Blitzkreig Bop" with us - it was AWESOME. I don't think anyone involved will soon forget this tour! So many insane nights - almost all the shows were highlights, with Berlin, Munich, and Basel really standing out. Big kudos to Tom at Radioblast for making it all happen, and to Uve, Steffano, Luki, and Alex of the Revolvers for being, well, the Revolvers! Also thanks to Ralf at 3rd Generation Nation, Jochim from Ox, Catherine from Dusseldorf, and all the 'super cool' people we met! We soooo didn't wanna leave!!

U.S.A.
The last U.S. tour was awesome -the best yet, with lotsa great shows + great  press just about eveywhere we went. People seem to really dig the 'Next Life' CD - cool! We made lots of new friends & enemies, drank too much, and even managed to write some new songs...  We get to L.A. and the first thing we see is a rad Libertine write up & pic in the L.A. Weekly!  Sweet. Other big standouts would have to be the Iggy Pop Birthday show in L.A., the Anahein club gig with Exene, Phoenix AZ.,  the S.F. shows & recording sessions, and hooking up with American Heartbreak. Between Bay area shows, we managed to record new stuff for an upcoming split CD with A.H. It was kind of a different way to record for us; playing shows at night, coming in on no sleep the next a.m., then doing it all over again the next day, but it yielded some really good stuff. Also while in L.A. we picked up a new drummer; ladies man and all around nice guy, Stevie Deluxe of the Space Age Playboys! Stevie saved our asses and proved to be an invaluable asset to the Libertine machine! Major League shout outs to Billy & Adam Heartbreak, Tony Carachi (now THAT'S what I call a party!) and the fabulous Kat Club, Lou Carus (you rule!), the Dragons, Texas Terri, Ricky Vodka & Motochrist, Taime Downe, Dale Gloria, Paula Peep, Jimmy & Lena at L.A. Weekly, Brett, Stacy, and all the pretty boys and all the pretty girls. Special thanx to Brett Matthews for putting up with all our shit, John Joh for always believing, the incomperable Benjie Gordon, and our killer publicist, the lovely and talented Yvonne Garrett at P.R.B.!
The downside to all this touring was that it pretty much fried everybody physically and emotionally, resulting in cancellations of the Warped Tour and fall U.S. tour. Sorry folks - stay tuned!
