	Feathery tufts of pinnate leaves emerging from an submerged root. Small red flower buds in summer and autumn. Water depth up to 300mm.

	Small tufts of very fine dark green feathery foliage emerge from thin submerged roots. Water depth up to 300mm.

	Water Shield [Brasenia]
	Shiny, dull green oval leaves 50mm to 80mm. Underneath of leaves is often a reddish colour and is slimy. Unusual maroon flowers in summer. Rarely available. Water depth up to 1m.

	Swamp Lily [Ottelia ovalifolia]
	Dark green eliptical leaves. In summer, 3 petalled, 40mm wide flowers which are maroon at the base with yellow centers. o:p>
