	Shiny green, almost heart shaped leaves on a creeping stem. Small, white 3 petalled flowers with a yellow center in late summer to autumn. Damp soil to30mm water depth.

	Cumbungi / Bullrush [Typha ]
	Cumbungi have tall slender stems with flat, dull green leaves .The seed heads are  rich brown coloured velvety cylinders about 250mm long which burst open on maturity. There are 2  basic types which vary mainly in size with the larger variety growing to 4m and the smaller to about 2.5m. The roots are eaten in Asia and by Aborigines. Will grow in damp soil or up to 2m water depths.
