24/04   SEC Women's Freshman Indoor Runner of the Year - Tiandra Ponteen, Florida

The Southeastern Conference announced its Indoor track and field awards, and the University of Florida was well represented. Freshmen Tiandra Ponteen were honored (amongst others) for their accomplishments.  Ponteen was the NCAA runner-up in the 400m dash at the NCAA Championship, finishing in 51.23. That time set the school record and is the fastest time ever by a freshman at the NCAA Indoor meet. Ponteen set the school record in the 400m dash twice during the indoor season. Ponteen was also the leadoff leg of the school-record setting 4x400m relay at the SEC Indoor Championship.
ST. KITTS 8-PEATS - LEEWARDS YOUTH

St. Kitts won the Annual Leeward Islands Track & Field Youth Championship for the 8th consecutive time.  It was held on 24th/25th May at the Sandy Point Recreation Grounds, St. Kitts. MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
