Colonel Richard Brown1 (M) b. 1739, d. 8 February 1811 Pop-up Pedigree
Colonel Richard Brown Richard Brown (1739-1811) served as lieutenant and captain, 1775, in Miles' rifle regiment; was taken prisoner at Long Island. He was born in Maryland; died in Brooke County, Va. (now Hancock County, W. Va.).
He was born in 1739 at Maryland.
He was the son of George Brown and Mary Stevenson.
Colonel Richard Brown married Honour Wells, daughter of General James Wells II and Ann Thornborough, on 17 November 1759 at Ohio.1
Colonel Richard Brown began military service in 1775 Served as lieutenant and captain, 1775, in Miles' rifle regiment; was taken prisoner at Long Island.2
He died on 8 February 1811 at Brooke County, Va. (now Hancock County, W. Va.).2
