GRAD NIGHT TICKET SALES
Contact: Sherrie Simpson 448-6263
The first thing to remember is: Publicity Publicity Publicity!!! You CAN'T
get too much publicity!
1. Get a daily announcement form from the Principal's office so that
ticket sale times and price will be announced daily. Be sure to change
this announcement every once in a while so they don't start sleeping through
it.
2. Ask the Principal to include Grad Night information in the "all-calls"--the
phone announcements that go out to each family.
3. Get posters up all over school.
4. In this binder you'll find a copy of a letter (English and Spanish),
printed back-to-back, informing parents about Grad Night. Order mailing
labels (ask how in the office) and be sure that each family receives this
letter.
5. Have someone attend Senior Class meetings to talk about grad night
and show a video of the fun had last year.
Preparations
Organize the way that works best for you. Following is a description
of the way I handled things.
Tickets
1) Get rack cards from Camelot Park, whatever you think will be enough.
We started with 200. which turned out to be enough.
2) Run off ticketing sticker on a good printer (See Barbara Schrag
for this), then affix a sticker to each rack card. These are the tickets--protect
them! Number each ticket, using only 3-digit numbers to avoid fakes; start
with 101.
Sales Table
1) Ask the Principal's secretary to have the custodian put out a table
for you in front of the cafeteria on sale days. Then allow a few minutes
to recruit strong bodies to carry one out for you because it probably won't
be there! (One can always hope.)
2) Make a colorful "GRAD NIGHT" sign to hang along the front edge of
the table each day you're out there.
3) You'll need 2 parent volunteers each day; 4 on busier days.
