Hi.  I have been a professional in the high technology industry, specializing in both hardware and software engineering, marketing, sales, and implementation.  My specific software specialities include:

- Data warehousing - design, tools, and implmentation
- Deep experience with the following ERP applications
    - Oracle Applications
    - PeopleSoft
    - SAP
- Benchmarking and Performance Testing with UNIX
   based systems

I joined Sequent Computer Systems (acquired by IBM) in May of 1988, and became the first person outside of Oracle to support Oracle Applications in a production environment.  In 1994, I started a software organization within Sequent to provide packaged data warehouse environments for customers running Oracle Applications.  We were spun out of Sequent in July of  1996, and the spinout was informally known as DecisionPoint.  In November of 2005, we were acquired by Teradata, which is my current employer.
I have a wife, Leslie, and two kids (Andrew - 19 and Rebecca - 15).  Our family has a passion for both music and soccer.
My primary hobby is coaching competitive youth soccer for Southside Soccer Club based in Tigard, Oregon.  I have coached both boys and girls teams ranging in age from U11 through U16.  The last couple of years, my teams have had success at the presidents cup, which is a statewide tournament for second tier teams.

  2004 - Southside Soccer Club - U12 girls (Team France)
  2005 - Southside Soccer Club - U13 girls (Team France - repeat champions)
  2007 - Southside Soccer Club - U13 girls (Eclipse - semifinalist)

I also have a passion for anything related to music, including listiening to different varieties of music, and reading books related to music genres and specific bands.

Soccer
I have many professional and personal friends.  Most of my personal friends are people that I have met through my soccer coaching career, and from attending both soccer games for my kids, and also music performances for my kids.
