The Heinzerling Foundation
A private, non-profit organization that serves a community of residents who are severely or profoundly mentally handicapped and non-ambulatory. The residents range in age from infancy to mature adults. The Heinzerling Foundation is dedicated to providing the highest quality of life and they believe that "Every life is a life worth living".
We collected items to donate a "Baby-New Mommy" Basket to the Heinzerling Foundation's Annual Grand Celebrity Casino Gala.
Thank you so much for all of the generous contributions we received! We were able to donate over 100 items for the basket.
Fundraising Cookbook
We are still selling cookbooks to raise funds for Choices: Victims of Domestic Violence and Olentangy School's Guidance Counselor Caring Fund. Once all of the cookbooks are sold, we will be able to donate about $1000 to these charities.
Toy Drive
We voted to support Choices, an Ohio program that helps to reduce domestic violence by offering shelter, counseling, education and advocacy for moms & children. There are currently 125 familes in the Columbus area receiving assistance. We "adopted" a few families and provided them with gifts for the holidays.
Westerville MOMS Club Preschool Fair
We provided a supporting role in the Westerville North MOMS Club's Second Annual Preschool Fair. We assisted them by contacting several preschools Lewis Center for participation, marketing the event and staffing the fair.
Mother-to-Mother Fund
At our Business Meeting each month, we hold a 50/50 raffle. All of the money raised is sent to the International MOMS Club's Mother-to Mother Fund. The fund is available to MOMS Club members to help them member and their family financially through a personal or natural disaster By contributing to the fund each month, we are part of the support system that provides emergency assistance should the need arise.
