Material Lifting Jibs
The addition of a fiberglass lifting jib to a stiff crane can significantly increase the utilization of a crane.  The lifting jib can be used to lift a live powerline while maintenance is being done to the supporting structure.  We prefer to supply a minimum of 12 ft. of clear fiberglass to allow ANSI Class B rating of 500 kV.

This fiberglass lifting jib can also be outfitted with one or two single personnel baskets.  Custom load charts are supplied with each unit depending upon the crane which it is to be mounted on.

In the picture above, the 230 kV line is held by the fiberglass
jib mounted to the stiff crane.  This allows the barehand trained PLT's
to repair the insulator while the line remains live.
