My name is Matt, but most people call me Lev. I am 16 years old, an only child, and I have lived in Port Washington as long as I can remember. My favorite hobby and something that takes up a large part of my life, is sports. Sports, while fun and enjoyable, mean much more to my life than that. Many of the different qualities and characteristics that make up the person that I am today can be related to the numerous principles found in sports.
Teamwork. This is one main principle found in many sports, that shapes a lot of my character. The basic unit of my life which requires this is my family. My family consists of my dad, my mom, and myself and teamwork is something that is used each and every day with us. My family always has had a healthy relationship and I feel that has a great deal to do with the teamwork, each of us displays. Everyone helps each other, and we rarely fight. Another major aspect of my life are my friendships. These too can be linked to the concept of teamwork. I get along with my friends very well, and I always enjoy hanging out with them and working together with them. Interacting with people and chilling with my friends are very important parts of my everyday life.
Another sport principle that is very evident in the way I live my life is hard work. I would consider myself a very hard working person in a variety of areas. School work is something I take very seriously and always have taken seriously. Although my parents are very active in my life and school, they do not ask me if I have done my homework or things of that nature because I have made it my business to always work hard and do my work. I have been rather successful in school as of now and I attribute a lot of this to my hard work ethic, whether its finishing homework, studying, or writing a paper. I am a very competitive person and I like to put hard work into everything I do.
Throughout all my hard work however, I never miss an opportunity to have some fun. I have already mentioned my love for sports, and I really enjoy playing all types of them, especially baseball and soccer. I love to laugh more than anything in the world. I love to watch TV, especially Seinfeld my all time favorite show. Other ways I have a good time is, hanging out with my friends, playing video games, watching movies and sleeping. All of these principles found above shape the characteristics that make me who I am as a person.
