When I received your latest email I was very disconcerted. Based on all the historical facts, which you have so thoroughly provided in your books, how can you think that a unilateral withdrawal by Israel would solve anything? As we have learned, the Palestinians are interested in getting rid of Israel, not living side by side with her (proven by rejection after rejection of deals, plans, roadmaps, etc). If Israel withdraws from legally gained land all this will show is that terrorizing and murdering innocent Israelis is the tactic that will work best to achieve the Palestinians� goals. Why would they stop the terror there? Why not continue and see if Israel pulls out of Haifa and Tel Aviv too? What will the Arab community learn from this event? How will this affect world terror? When terrorists see that their terrorizing works, they will continue and even increase the severity. Israel pulling out will prove deadly to Israel and the entire world community plagued by extremist Islamic terror.

I mentioned in the fact sheet that the Arabs may indeed believe terror pays if Israel withdraws unilaterally, but we cannot worry only about what they think. They want Tel Aviv, Jaffa, and Haifa, but we haven't given them those cities before and won't in the future, no matter what they think. If you don't agree with this option, you have to offer me a better one. I am not aware of any.

Thank you for replying so promptly. If I believed that withdrawing would stop the terror, I would be the first one to get on board, but past behavior predicts future behavior. So, if terror won�t stop if Israel pulls out, then what do we have? Continued terror and less land. What�s the point? We must think outside the box. Have you heard of the Benny Elon Peace Initiative? Yes, it's a political nonstarter that was abandoned years ago. Appealing as the concept may be, it is not an option.

When enough people and American statesmen embrace and promote it, it will be the most moral option out there. Not to mention that all other attempts at �peace� have failed miserably. We must try something new, not keep regurgitating the same plans that have been rejected by our Arab neighbors time and time again. The way to end terror is to fight it, not simply to get out of its way.

Americans will never support it, nor will anyone in the Arab world, and few Jews will either. Wishful thinking doesn't make for realistic political options. The only options are the status quo, annexation, deportation, and unilateral withdrawl. Status quo is unacceptable to everyone, annexation can't be done and maintain Israel as a Jewish and democratic state, deportation is impractical and immoral, and that leaves only unilateral action.

I disagree. I believe that informed Americans and Israelis are coming to the realization that the terror won�t go away if we don�t fight it with force (withdrawal is not fighting terror with force), and we certainly can�t negotiate with people who want to kill us. Of course the Arab world won�t support this plan, but with enough persistence on behalf of America, anything is possible. The Arab world might change its mind if a nice aid package is attached as an incentive to absorb the refugees they have refused to assimilate all these years. I agree that status quo and deportation can�t happen, but annexation can, and with the Benny Elon Plan, Israel will continue to be a Jewish and democratic state. Herzl said, �If you will it, it is no dream.� Wishful thinking?
