The Scott Paper Company Lester logging camp offices, affectionately known as
the "Whitehouse". Soundview Pulp built this camp in the 1940s having been
moved up the Green River Valley from Maywood. The deer in this picture was
rather tame, I had the pleasure of riding him when I was a kid. I have a story 
and pictures about this deer in Ruth Eckes' Rail Tales anthology book:
"Whistles in the Night".


These are the Scott Paper Co. log camp bunkhouses in Lester. 
Two of these bunkhouses are in a park in downtown Buckley, Washington for preservation.
