Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) as their camp and after
the Great Depression it became the U.S. Forest Service Lester Guard
Station and Fire Warehouse. This with Scott Paper Company was the only
fire protection that Lester had. These are the only original buildings in
Lester that remain standing.
