JACKSON BROTHER/SON
In the sole existing interview (published, anyway) from 1967, Lester Jackson told of a brother. He said he was one of two boys and that the other brother still existed "Somewhere." A smaller known theory, states that Lester's long lost brother may have resurfaced and:
- Swapped places with Lester, by Lester's request at some point and it is the brother that is dead or missing, while the real Lester is hiding out elsewhere, in peace.
- The brother and Lester willingly swapped places, but when Lester saw that the brother 'got out of hand', Lester himself thought it was time to end the charade and either killed the brother or called him out of service. Perhaps he feared his brother's silly 'mistakes' such as impregnating Dee, when Lester was really infertile, may have raised caution about their cover being blown.
- The brother, jealous of Lester's success, killed Lester and assumed Lester's identity shortly before Dee became pregnant (explaining why 'Lester' was suddenly fertile). As a result of his dastardly ways, the brother suffered the real Lester's intended fate, was forced into hiding because he couldn't handle the pressures.
- The jealous brother killed Lester while conspiring with Dee to split the inheritance, and then feigned the 'fake Lester's' disappearance, with Dee remarrying for cover, and sending fake Lester money every so often.
- Lester actually did succeed in impregnating Dee. And they feigned that Dee miscarried, when actually a live baby was born -- the child, a son of Lester Jackson. The brother's job was to then raise the child in secrecy, when it was born, as Lester feared for his his family and wanted to ensure that the baby would be able to grow up and live well without being tracked because of him. With the fake miscarriage, Lester's brother, using their birth name, could raise the child on his own and not be detected. Today, some suspect a number of black politicians, athletes, and entertainers, as the possible lost son of Lester Jackson, carrying the Jackson flame either knowingly or unwittingly.
This theory seems unfounded mostly because no one has ever seen Lester's brother or known anything of him, except Lester's brief mention. No one can be certain that he even looked anything remotely like Lester. And it seems a bit elaborate. Lester was on occasion desperate to escape, but he probably wouldn't have gone to these lengths to deceive others. Even so, there is no evidence supporting the idea of a son or daughter other than the miscarried child. But one must admit, in the world of Lester Jackson, anything was possible.
