| Real time: Probably the most interesting and different aspect of this game is that it is played in real time. It really makes you feel as if your town in which you live in the game is as real as the one outside the game, despite the fact you are talking to animals. If you decide to wake up at 3:00 in the morning and play Animal Crossing the town would be very dark and many animals there would be asleep. A spooky surprise will also await you at that time of night. Church bells ring in a tune you can compose on every hour and different animals sleep at different times. As in real life different creatures appear at different times of year and in different conditions. Many festivals happen in your game, including Halloween and Fireworks day. You even get birthday presents on your birthday! Room decorating: There are different items you can collect in Animal Crossing which can personalize your room. This makes you want to play on to make your home as good as possible, so you can show it off to others and it can be rated well by the 'happy room academy'. If you spread out your furniture well and it is all the same theme you get a better rating. Another incentive for playing is pattern designing, where you can recreate patterns to put on t-shirts to wear in the game or to set the next fashion trend. I used this to my advantage and had the whole village going around in saints colours. You can also place patterns on your door. SNES games: Each Saturday night, after eight o clock K.K. sings a song for you and then gives you the tune for your stereo. Old games from the SNES (an old console made by Nintendo) can be obtained with difficulty. This bonus is certainly worthwhile if you enjoy reliving classic games. Bad points: This game isn't all great though. Some people may be annoyed by the purposely bad puns. For example when you catch the fish Red Snapper your character says, That was a snap (I really have got to stop saying things like that). Also the sounds can get on your nerves. The tunes that play while you roam are quite repetitive and can get boring. And the animals make a very annoying squeak when they talk. Also the game's graphics will not wow you when you first see them, as they are not better than anything done before. They look like they were from the N64. The worst bit though is that the debt you owe to Tom Nook can be paid off in a matter of days. It's way too easy to manage. You may get bored doing errands for people all the time and think the game is slightly childish. |

| Loz's verdict: This game may appeal more to little children but anyone old, young, boy or girl may enjoy it. It is quirky and original so people either love it or hate it. The only way to judge it for yourself is to pick up a control and start playing it. It won't be fun forever but it's worth a try.
