Bountiful Harvests in the Kingdom

Zech 14:8 And it shall be in that day, [that] living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

Here we find a description of the healing living water flowing to the East of Jerusalem to heal the Dead Sea. The living water will also flow towards the Mediterranean Sea.

Ezek 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: [which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

The healing waters coming out from the temple are also complemented; by abundant waters that will be present all over the world. This will contribute to abundant crops and no more famine in the world.

Isa 33:21 But there the glorious LORD [will be]unto us a place of broad rivers [and] streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby.

This is telling us that the broad rivers coming out of the temple will never have a warship come up it.

Isa 35:6 ... for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.

This is telling us that there will no longer be any deserts on the earth as waters and streams will break forth in them.

Isa 35:7 And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, [shall be] grass with reeds and rushes.

The deserts will have pools of water with reeds and rushes and the parched ground will have grass growing in it. this will be great grazing land for both domestic as well as wild animals.

Isa 41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

This is telling us that there will be plentiful water in the Kingdom of Christ. This will be very good for growing crops.

Isa 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.

This will mean that the growing season will be endless with night time getting light from the moon that is bright as it is now from the sun during the daytime. Then during the daytime, the sun will be giving seven times the light it does not. This means that the crops will literally grow around the clock. It will also produce crops as the long summer days in Alaska do now. There have been pictures of the huge heads of lettuce and other things that can be grown there during the prolonged days. This will mean no more famine any where in the world, nor will it take much effort to grow a crop. This gives new meaning to being under our own vine and fig tree as all plants we have will be very fruitful.

Lev 26:4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

This was originally said to Israel during the Exodus from Egypt but also applies to the promised Millennium Kingdom of Christ. The land will be very fruitful.

Lev 26:5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.

This really has not yet been fully and literally fulfilled but it will be in the Kingdom of Christ.

Amos 9:13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.

Here again we have a description of how fruitful the land will be in the Kingdom of Christ. So much so that the reaper is still harvesting the last crop when the plowman is out planting for the next one.

Ezek 36:30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

Here is a description of how fruitful the trees will be and the bountiful harvests of the fields. So much so that there will no longer be any famine.

Isa 35:1 The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

Here we are told that the wilderness and the wasteland, the desert all shall be fruitful and blossom as the rose.

Isa 35:2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, [and] the excellency of our God.

Here we are being told that the fruitfulness of the earth and the bountiful harvests that are grown will reveal the glory of the Lord and the Excellency of our God.

Ezek 36:11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better [unto you] than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.

This is telling us that the bountiful harvest will include man and beast. It will be a life with everyone dwelling under his vine and fig tree, a life of leisure and bountiful food requiring little effort to grow it. Another characteristic of Christ's reign will be peace and justice.
