Coterie:
The Eternal Shield
This Coterie was formed by Neonates which (rightly) feared the power of their Elders. As such, they joined and agreed to work together to defend themselves from Elders and even other Coteries.
The signification is simple: They have all the time for them (they believe they are immortal, and so, they aren't stopped by such notion as time) and that each will shield the other (thus the shield symbol).
Note that few but them know the true name of their coterie, which appears to other as an informal gathering of fledglings going to nightclubs together...

François Villon: Prince of France
Archie: The Ex-Anarchist
Archie had been Embraced in the May 68 revolution, but since, his idealism turned to cynicism. His disgust of the Elders made him found this Coterie. While he is not the ''leader'' anymore, he has still influence over the others. He has gathered youths from the subburbs, and taught them how to fight. In truth, he worked to undermine the illegal drug contraband, but since, he was asked to organize dealers to increase the money of the group.

Abelard: Bastard. But at least, he lets
us alone. |
Cedrique: The Underworld Puppet Mistress
Cedrique was Embraced officially, but remained in the shadows, learning from the other clan members'mistakes. So, waiting to receive official mission, she took over a Coterie through guile and is now the most influent member of it. Still, she grew rather fond of them, and now is a loyal to them as it is possible, and she sees it as an enterprise she must help grow and extend. While she often consult the others (most of the time, Archie), she leads the Coterie to success, to the point of having been remarked by Elders, who are growing restless to have such youngsters threatening their own powerbase.

Abelard: This Elder is very very very
powerful. To twart him, we must be very careful. But in the end,
he is old, and so, will fail, thanks to us. |
Juliette is liked by everyone, for her natural charms and her thirst for ''life'' often reminds the elders of their own desire they forgot in the nights of their unlife. She was the last to join the Coterie, and was readily accepted. She helps the Coterie with her contacts within the Toreador and Setite Clan. Some believe there is some kind of love/hate relationship between her and Vivien. The truth is that Vivien and her are deviants who understand each others, and who readily share their experiences... Can it be called love? Perhaps...

Abelard: One of the greatest Tremere
of France. So... Like Patrick, but greater in scope! |
Milady's Embrace was a very particular one: It is rumoured she has ties with (Hollow Ones) Mages, and that her Embrace was somehow forced. The fact she is now protected by the Coterie angers Constance greatly, but the Duchesse can't really act against this, as the Toreador would not like an artist's free will removed. Milady's role in the Coterie is undefined, but she has ties within the Toreador, as well as within the Daughters of Cacophony Bloodline. Her fame and singer brings money and facilities the Coterie enjoys. So they forget the fact she sometimes uses drugs too much for her own good, and her ridiculous phobia (about Darkness: She has a simple stress when confronted to Kindred she doesn't know).
