"May the glory of Amber forever remain untarnished!" Melusine's last words before killing herself to save Amber

Height: 5'10" Build: Willowy (weight: 145 lbs.)
Hair: Long and wavey. Looked black, but under strong light you could tell it was actually a dark green.
Eyes: deep blue-green
Description: High cheekbones and forehead, fair skin that had a greenish-grey cast to it.
Clothing Colors and Style: On land: late French Renassance in blues, greens and silvers. Under water:simple chemises (unless training with the Rebman military when she swaped to the traditional scaled trunks).
Other notes: Formerly the Minister of Culture and then later the Queen of the main kingdom in Corwin's Pattern.

     Melusine was the daughter of Queen Moire of Rebma and Prince Corwin of Amber (from when he came down to walk the Rebman Pattern). She spent much of her time growing up being educated away at various shadows of Rebma, keeping track of events at home by letters. She finshed off her education in Rebma (recieving training in the royal arts). When Gerard became regent, her mother sent her above to stay at the castle and assist her uncle.
     She served her positions as well as she could, her ambitions for power held in check under the circumstances of the war. When Simon cast out his blood curse upon several of their cousins, Oberon, and everyone that descended from Chaos, she called upon her own blood curse to undo the damage that had been done. But, as Simon's curse effectively turned all of the Royals of Amber into Shadow-folk, the only way she had enough stregnth to call upon the curse was through suicide. Her heart was encased in the metal of her trident, and taken by Fina back to Argent.

Born in the capital city of Argent (the analog to Amber in Corwin's Pattern), Josephina D'Carvel believed she came from a long line of traveling bards and minstrels. But along the way her forefathers settled into roles as court entertainers and stopped traveling. But, having been raised on the tales of adventure from their past, this didn't sit well with Fina as a child. She wanted to travel herself.

So she was given the job of serving as a court page to one of the noble families of the city. Which while this allowed her to travel within the city, it didn't satisfy her craving for adventure. So she left her position in the court and took a job designing clothes for her brother-in-law's business.

Then she met her, the daughter of the King and founder. And Melusine offered to take her out of the city on her travels across Shadow. Along the journey they fell in love with one another. So when Melusine needed to return to the King's homeland, Fina was all to happy to go with her.

Then her love killed herself and she returned home. But at the entry to Argent, it's Primal Pattern, she was compelled to rush to it with Mel's metal encased heart. Instead of being killed- after all, she was just a shadow-dweller- Melusine's ghost carried her through it. As she did so, the metal melted away from the heart she carried and it became The Heart, Argent's own version of the Jewel of Judgement. Upon her return she was named queen. But having learned the truth, that her family's whole history was just a dream and she was a mere shadow, combined with the loss of Melusine, sent her into despair. Not wanting to feel that helpless, she raised the army of Argent to travel with the last of the forces of Amber to solve this mess.

But, as she was calling upon The Heart to try to raise the fallen of Amber, Fiona was calling upon the Pattern. What happened to her next, save for her death, is to be revealed in play still.

Clothing Colors and Style: Fina usually selected clothes of a cool pallate, but varied the style to suit her mood and activities.

Melusine and Fina were played by me, Dotti (I'm also the webmistress of the site). I've been doing role-playing games for about 8 years. Besides Amber, I play a lot of Call of Cthulhu. Hopefully I won't blend the two (I plan on keeping my new a good stuff character, too). I also GM. When I have to deal with reality, I'm a so-so housewife (who hates to clean), a pretty good cat wrangler and I bake a great chocolate cake.
