Hey everyone out there in TV land!
God is the most important thing to me. I don't ascribe to any religion. I don't go to church. I read the bible, but not out of any religious obligations. I just think that it is a good book. Interesting read. Enlightening and helps me focus on God more and not stress about things in my life. I love to meditate - no exact style, but I'd say closer to Zen Buddhism. I kind of take a Shinto and Buddhist look at God. Where I believe that he is in everything - nature, things, people - and thus in my life I seek to appreciate the beauty that is God in everything. It's not easy, but it brings a smile to my face to to see him all around me.
I love to read books. Practically everything except fantasy and science fiction. I like strong character-driven books like
Brothers Karamazov or Uncle Tom's Cabin. Also, I like plays mainly Oscar Wilde, a bit of Shakespeare (Othello - favorite),  Strindberg, etc. This stems from my love for theatre. I like plays more then musicals, but all are good. I've done a bit of acting, but improv is more my stuff. Though it has been a while since I performed. My favorite play is The Fantasticks. I'm not sure why. All I can say is "They were you." Yah...
I love film. To watch, to make, to critique. I really like classic films ('40's-'60's). Also, I like foreign films. Chinese films are my favorite. Some people say it is just my bias towards China, but I have substantional reasons as to why. Ask me. I'd love to talk about it. Lastly, I really like Anime. Don't watch enough anymore.

Recommended book:
Johnny Got His Gun by Dalton Trumbo. I am not done with it yet, but it's good. I'd say read it while in a good mood cause it'll sure make you sad.

Recommended film: "Amelia" because it only has good memories for me...plus, it's just a fabulous film.
All you who know me, know that I have a HUGE family: 7 kids, my parents. I'll list them, but I'm warning you that you might get bored. In order of age (age not listed) : Karin, Sean, Chris, Concetta, Alberto, Solomon, and Rochelle (that's me!)

My friends are scattered all over the place. Sometimes they are here, other times I think I've lost them like how the dryer eats your socks, you know? Well their great. Got to love 'em while their here and even when they're far away ;-)

In addition to all of these I'd like to shout out a BIG thank you to all of those who have been there for me. Friend and stranger alike. I have realized in the past six months just how many good friends I have and not only how much they care about me...but how I much truly care about them. I love ya'll.

Just finished with my Sophomore year. Heading off to China 28 August 2007 for China for nine months. That'll be the greateset adventure I'd have thus far in my life. Working on campus for the summer (FAC man) and downtown Kalamazoo part-time (Subway). Both good jobs. I'm learning a lot about myself at both of them and it feels good. Nothing like a little personal growth.
