This is called a Cerfaine. It is a Sickle used in Druid and Wiccan Rituals. Normally not made of steel this one was a custom order from a Warrior Druid who wanted a sacred blade that could be used as a weapon. She is planning on plating it in gold as I can't do that in my shop. The blade of this one is HR 5160 Tool Steel and the hilt is Deer Antler a sacred thing in it's own right. (15" over all length) The bell is to warn spirits of the wood so they do not have to confront iron. Not my way but thats Okay... This is a serious tool and razor sharp!

This is a Bronze Cerfaine. It has an Oak handle with a carved acorn at the pommel. The blade is 5" across the line of arc.. Used in Rituals to release bad energy etc. and to harvest Mistletoe and special herbs. Bronze, copper, silver and even gold were used for this sickle so that iron would not be around to piss off the spirits or ruin the energy of sacred herbage. Your choice of Oak, Ash, Birch, or Willow handle all carved with an appropriate symbol (Acorn, Spear, Ale Keg, or Healing hand in that order) $35.00 each plus $5.00 S&H ( U.S. Only Extra if you live elsewhere!)
