This site is devoted to my love of the performing arts.  I enjoy music, films, and theatre; on the science side it's chemistry and biology.

Music-wise, I love classical, oldies, and a bit of pop and jazz.  As a classically trained pianist, music brings me a lot of satisfaction.  Maybe that's why I've done it for so long, and will continue to do so.  Doing music is not easy, but that's what makes it worthwhile.  And there's nothing more satisfying than getting out on stage, trying to reach out to an audience, to try to dig deeper in the music and to give of yourself.  I've been lucky to go hear renowned performers such as Evgeny Kissin, Garrick Ohlsson, Emmanual Ax, Antionio Pompa-Baldi, Olga Kern, Stephen Hough, and Ivo Pogarelich, most of whom I've had the pleasure of meeting!  I also enjoy listening to the recordings of Mitsuko Uchida, Lang Lang, and Maurizio Pollini.  As for favorite composers, there's too many to name here:  Mozart, Beethoven, Grieg, Gershwin, Prokofiev, Ravel, Copland, Bach, Vivaldi, and it all changes on a daily basis.

The theatre is something I've come across recently over the past few years.  I remember seeing the play
Proof and was drawn in by the actors' ability to convince you they are who they are.  Like musicians, they too must get out on stage, to reach out and touch an audience, to tell a story.
