During the LIST 5384, I not only studied the stages of the writing process, but also applied them to my own writing project. From Hillocks' Narrative Writing (2007), I learned the parts of a true narrative. From Heard�s Revision Toolbox (2002 ), I learned many strategies for effective revision. I used these lessons of the writing process to create a narrative piece of writing which I offered for peer review in addition to performing numerous revisions. I published the piece to a class web forum.
Narrative writing piece
As a student in LIST 5384, I participated in group discussions of class readings. In these forums, we aided each other to understand and apply lessons to our classrooms. One example was in Session 2 when Meredith and I discussed ways to teach narratives leads based on our readings of page 101 in Purposeful Writing (Sipe & Rosenwarne , 2006)
