Britney Spears outfit from the 2001 VMAs consists of three pieces: a green bra top, dark jean hot pants, and a collection of Indian-inspired jewelry and colorful scarves. She wears the costume with nude-colored knee-high boots and, of course, let's not forget the snake! Bra Top - Britney wears what looks like a standard commercial green colored bra that's been covered with a gathered sheer green fabric. It's low cut in front and hooks in back like a normal bra. There are two lengths of fabric that extend from the center front of the bra and tie in back. In back, a matching green scarf is folded into a triangle and tied to the bra strap, then threaded through the tied fabric to hang free. In front, there is a rhinestone and blue jewel where the fabric extensions meet the bra itself.

Hot Pants & Scarves - The dark denim hot pants have an exposed zipper (you can see a flash of silver in some of the pictures). They sit low on the waist and are cut high on the leg. No visible waistband, probably just a zig-zag or serge finished around the leg openings. Over the hot pants are a collection of bangles, belts, and scarves - very Indian vibe. Some of the scarves are green, but in back she has a 'drape' that is primarily blue. This is attached only in back and hangs to the back of her knees.

Accessories - Britney has two 'tatoos' that look almost like a necklace around her neck. She also has dangly earrings and a 'bracelet' that covers the back of her hand to hook on her middle ring finger.

Boots - The boots are nude-colored, probably suede. Knee high in length - they look like they've been decorated with vines (embroidered?).
