Aurora's Ball Gown: Research

Aurora's Ball Gown is a long sleeve floor-legth dress of varying shades of blue/pink (the color changes depending on the scene). The dress is one-piece, featuring four shades of color: the off-the-shoudler collar is pale blue/pink; the tight long sleeves and skirt hip insert are a light blue/pink; the full-pleated skirt is medium blue/pink; and the multi-seamed bodice is dark blue/pink. The bodice has center front, center back, side front princess, and side back princess seams. It comes to a slight 'V' at the front waistline. The skirt hip insert has inverted points (one center front, two sides, and one back), and the full-pleated skirt attaches to this. The tight long sleeves come to a point at the wrist, while the off-the-shoulder collar comes to a 'V' center front and extends in points over each shoulder. When Aurora lifts her skirts to dance, we see a matching petticoat in light blue/pink and underpetticoats in white. She wears a delicate gold crown and matching necklace. Her dark navy blue cloak is floor length with a full hood.
