If points were given for the execution of plays, Fleming would have blown Botetourt away. However, in the game of basketball, the ball must fall through the hoop in order to score points, so the Lady Colonels lost 56-31. The team forgot to party with the ones who took them to the dance. Their "nasty, in yo' face gonna' trap ya 'till ya slap me defense, their get that stuff out of here blocks, and their catch me if you can fast breaks" were wall flowers as Fleming waltzed the ball down court, then perfectly executed their half-court offense until someone dribble drove to the basket (rarely,) until an outside 3 was taken (usually,) or until an interior pass was made (if it happened, I missed it.) The good news is that no one had more than 2 fouls.
Freshman guard TiAsia McGeorge was the only Colonel (out of five who scored) to score in the double digits. She had 11 points, 2 assists and 2 steals. Junior forward Brandi Smith had 9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, a block and an assist. Freshman center Salesse Stovall came off the bench to score 5 points and grab 3 rebounds. Freshman guard Tashiana Pack added 4 points, 3 rebounds, an assist and a steal. Sophomore Sidra Johnson chipped in 2 points, 2 rebounds and a steal. Senior forward Chenique Bonds had 3 good defensive plays and a steal. Junior forward Brittni Taylor had a rebound, an assist, a steal and 5 good defensive plays. Senior guard Sade Robinson had a rebound and a steal. Junior center Mercedez Ward and junior forward Moneka Reeves had one and two rebounds respectively.
For the record, I saw two things happen that I've never seen before in 30+ years of watching basketball: I saw a team with 6 players on the court and no technical foul called; and I saw a player push a player whom she had just fouled as the player was walking to the free throw line (yes...the ball was dead,) and the official told the "pushed" player to "cool it." At the points of the game when these occurred, neither the technical nor the flagrant foul shots (if made) would have made a difference in the score, but the fact that a foul wasn't called for either infraction surely made a difference in my opinion of the officiating.

Northside controlled the boards, spent enough time at the free throw line to pay rent and subsequently, beat the Lady Colonels 61-43. TiAsia McGeorge made 5 three pointers to lead the offense with 15 points. She also had 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds. Brandi Smith added 9 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals to the effort. Salesse Stovall had 6 points and 4 rebounds. Sidra Johnson chipped in 5 points and a rebound. Tashiana Pack and Chenique Bonds each scored 4 points and had 5 and 7 rebounds respectively.

The Lady Colonels returned to their aggressive defense and almost pulled off an upset, but ran out of time and lost to Botetourt 39-35. Tashiana Pack came off the bench to lead the team with 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists. Sidra Johnson added 7 points, 4 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals. Brittni Taylor came off the bence to add 6 rebounds, 3 rebounds and a steal. Chenique Bonds also had 6 points to go with her 4 rebounds and a steal. Brandi Smith scored 4 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and had a block and a steal. TiAsia McGeorge had a basket, a rebound, a steal and an assist. Salesse Stovall had 2 points, 3 rebounds and a steal.
