Fleming's Lady Colonels (soon to be renamed the Cardiac Kids) came from behind to defeat Cave Spring by a score of 42-41. Freshman guard TiAsia McGeorge led the offense with 11 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 4 steals and 12 good defensive plays. Senior forward Chenique Bonds added 10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, a block, an assist and 11 good defensive plays. Freshman guard Tashiana Pack had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and 9 good defensive stops. Junior forward Brandi Smith had 6 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals, a block and 19 good defensive plays. Junior forward Brittni Taylor chipped in 4 points, a steal and 6 good defense plays. Sophomore forward Sidra Johnson had 2 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks and 6 good defense plays to complete the Fleming scoring.

Fleming's Lady Colonels lost to Pulaski County 60-54. TiAsia McGeorge again led the offense with 19 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and a steal. Tashiana Pack added 12 points, 5 steals, a rebound and an assist. Brittni Taylor had 9 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals. Chenique Bonds had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Sade Robinson chipped in 4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Brandi Smith and Sidra Johnson each had 2 points. Sid also had 10 rebounds, 4 blocks and a steal. Brandi had 2 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. Moneka Reeves used her playing time to grab a rebound.

The Lady Colonels' pressure defense broke the Glass and gave them a 60-32 win. Sidra Johnson posted her first double-double of the season with 11 rebounds and 11 blocks (some of which were a tad "nasty".) She also had 7 points and 3 steals. Tashiana Pack led the offense with 12 points, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block. Sade Robinson had 9 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and an assist. Myeisha Little had 8 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Tiasha McGeorge scored 7 points, with 6 assists and 6 steals. Brandi Smith led the defense with 13 good defensive plays to go with her 7 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks. Brittni Taylor added 6 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, a block and an assist Moneka Reeves had 6 defensive stops, altered a shot and one assist. In her first game of the season, Mercedez Ward had 2 rebounds, a block and a steal.

Apparently EC Glass didn't appreciate last week's 28 point lost to the Lady Colonels, and were determined not to let that happen again. The Warriors jumped on Fleming right away and the Lady Colonels didn't score a point until very late in the 1st quarter. Unforced turnovers and missed layups didn't help the Colonels' cause either, but they fought back to win the 2nd and 3rd quarters 18-10. The game was close throughout the 4th quarter, and Glass stayed alive by tying the game with 4 seconds left to play. The results of the gazillion laps and sprints that the Lady Colonels run in practice paid off in the overtime period as the Colonels out-scored, out-rebounded, out-hustled and out-played the obviously tired Warriors to win the game 46-43.
Tiasia McGeorge led the Fleming offense with 23 points to go with her 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals. Tashiana Pack scored 10 points mostly off her 6 steals. Brandi Smith won defensive honors for the Colonels with her 21 good defensive plays which included deflecting passes, diving for loose balls, boxing out to grab 7 rebounds, stealing 5 passes and making it very difficult for the Warriors to get the ball in the hands of their leading scorer. Sidra Johnson had 4 blocks, 2 defensive rebounds and 2 steals. Chenique Bonds had 2 points, 4 rebounds amd 2 defensive stops before fouling out of the game. Brittni Taylor and Myeisha Little both had 2 points and 2 rebounds. Moneka Reeves totally out-hustled the much taller Glass post players and came up with 3 rebounds, a steal and 4 good defensive plays.
