A. Description of Program: Describes what our middle school students will achieve from involvement in our middle school physical education program.
B.  Program Goals: Describes the goals of our physical education program at ??? Middle  School. 
C.  Rationale: Describes why the physical educations curriculum includes what it does.  Includes motivational techniques and safety. 
D. Standards: This section includes the National and State standards in physical education.  The National standards are set by one of physical education's governing body: the National Associatoin for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE).  An explanation regarding what the standards are, why they are important, and why they are used are included in this section.  There are seven National Standards. 
     The State standards come from Maryland's Department of Education.  Here you will find what the State standards are, why they are important, and why they are used.  Also included are a list of the standards, points of emphasis for each standard as well as grade level indicators.

E. Physical education policies: Includes policies on attendance, uniform/dress, grading, etc.
F. Evaluation and assessmentIt is important to test a student's knowledge, and skill for a variety of reasons.  This section will describe those reasons, as well as include the psychomotor, affective, and cognitive authentic evaluations your child/children will participate in through the Soccer unit.  Sample tests, worksheets, logs, etc will be available to gain a better understanding as to what your child/children are doing in physical education class.
