Phase #2 - Jabberwocky's Structure
Your mission, this time, is to read the poem called Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll. By clicking on the alien below, you will be transported into the world of Jabberwocky! There, you will read this poem of nonsense for the first time, and play a game, too! You will need to guess the parts of speech of each made up word! Sounds hard? It's really not!
On this part, you're going to use your knowledge of sentence construction and context clues! You are all brilliant, so get to work!
In order to complete this part, you must print out a copy of Jabberwocky and label the parts of speech of the made up words. Include this in your portfolio to be handed in.
Click the alien to go to the Jabberwocky site! (Make sure, after you read the poem, to Enter the world of the Jabberwock!)
(You may ask yourself.. why would this be important at all? Here's my reason. When we are able to figure out the type of a new word, we will be able to figure out its definition easier!)
