GENERAL RULES (July 23, 2000)

These general rules are portions of the City Code that pertain to the Dog Park:
Pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in the containers.
Dogs older than 4 months old must be vaccinated and licensed to use the facility. Puppies younger than 4 months are not permitted in the enclosure for their and other dogs' protection.
Owners of any dog using the facility must have a leash available at any time for use outside the fenced area.
No aggressive dogs. Dog owners are legally responsible for any injury caused by their dog.
Professional dog handlers are not permitted to use the facility in the conduct of their business.
No female dogs in heat.
No spiked collars on dogs -- they can injure other dogs when they play.
No food of any kind.
Dogs cannot be left unattended.
Children in the exercise area must be supervised by adults.
Children are not permitted to run, shout, scream or wave their arms or otherwise excite or antagonize dogs in the exercise areas.
No bicycles, roller blades, roller skates, skateboards and strollers in the exercise area. Exception: wheelchairs.
No sports--football, volleyball etc.--are permitted.
Use of the dog exercise area by any dog shall constitute implied consent of the dog's owner to all the above rules and guidelines as well as parking regulations.
