I'll Be

I am your beginning, I am your end.
From misery and pain your heart I'll defend.
I'll be your shelter from the wind and rain,
I'll be the gentle voice that keeps you sane.

I am your heart, I am your ears.
I can hear the thoughts that stem from your fears.
I'll be the hand that dries your tears,
And I'll be the blood that keeps you here.

I am your soul, I am your eyes.
I see what you see from behind your disguise.
I'll be the shield that deflects the lies
And I'll be the moon and stars in your darkest skies.

I am your voice, I am your existence.
I live parallel to you on the path of least resistance.
I'll be the calming breath that you take when all seems damned,
I'll be your guardian angel and shape your life in my hands.
I'll be the liquid wind on which you'll glide,
I'll be the powerful wings that carry your hope and pride.

I am your beginning, I am your end.
I'll stop at nothing when your heart I must defend.
