   Ajithaa Edirimane is an Attorney-at-Law & Notary Public by profession and holds a Degree in Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Colombo. She is also a holder of a Diploma in International Trade Law & Practice from the same University and was placed 1^st in order of merit.  She has over 20 years of experience in the dual roles of corporate lawyer cum company secretary of commercial establishments dealing in merchant banking, shipping, manufacturing to property development. Apart from being conversant in all aspects of legal work relating to condominium properties, she has to her credit the registration of the 36 storey twin tower World Trade Center building in Colombo as a condominium property of 219 condominium units, which was the 1^st major registration of a commercial condominium property in Sri Lanka.

She is a life member of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) and a Co-Editor of the BASL Law Journal and has been the Convenor of the BASL Publications Committee from 2000 – 2004, Convenor of the BASL National Law Conference in 2000 and a Delegate to the Bar Council from 1997 – 2005. She is a former Secretary and ex-Vice President of the Corporate Lawyers Association of Sri Lanka and a founder member, former Secretary and member of the Ex-co of the Alumni Association of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO Rome) and in such capacity has assisted in imparting know how on various legal subjects through workshops and seminars in keeping with the IDLO philosophy.

For hobbies, she engages in interior and landscape designing, having been trained in both. She is also an amateur photographer.
