Welcome to RP Musicals!
Short for RolePlay Musicals, the original idea came from a thread on the forums of a now-dead site on the Redwall Online Community (better known as the ROC). It was a post where roleplayers wrote or re-wrote existing songs into scenes for their characters. It was a great deal of fun, but only had a short lifetime before it was wiped from the records forever by a routine cleaning of the board.
In June 2005, when the site had died and it was all but forgotten, RP Musicals was founded, first solely on a message board, and later expanding into a normal site, with members and activity slowly building up. This has become the parent site to two different branches, each an entirely different musical. One, The Phoenix Rising, set in the world of Harry Potter during the 1996-1997 school year, otherwise known as Harry's sixth, it revolves around the lives of six younger and much less famous students during the time of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The other (and not as active) branch is Season of Song, that takes place in Brian Jacques' Redwall, telling the story of a season in the lives of seven young adventurers.
What we have put together so far is a compilation of most of the songs we have written for our various characters, and the plotline that strings them together. We invite you to browse around, check out the songs, and listen to the originals that go along with many of them.
