About Me:
I'm a 19 year old university student from Victoria, Australia. I spent 2003 doing first year of a B.Sc (Animal Science)/B.Sc (Conservation Biology & Ecology) at La Trobe University, and I'm now studying Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne.
I love animals, and feel very strongly about animal welfare issues. I currently spend 2 days per week working at Donkey Shelter Inc. in Diamond Creek; an organisation dedicated to donkey health & welfare, and educating the public about these wonderful animals. I also have two dogs and a cat (Freya, Odin and Epping respectively).
I love the outdoors in general- I've been camping since before I could walk, and bush-walking/hiking from the day that I could! The Northern Territory is one of my all time favourite places. It really does have to be seen to be believed. Amazing as some of the NT photographs around are, I've yet to see one that actually does any of these places justice. As the saying goes; "You'll never, never know if you never, never go". Closer to home, (for me at least) Wilson's Promontory is a must, as is the Lake Eildon area. I've also been lucky enough to spend a bit of time in Scotland. My family come from Oban, in the West Highlands- another breathtakingly beautiful part of the world. As a result, I'm pretty big on Scottish folk music (also Irish music- my dad's family come from County Cork). I'm a self-taught guitarist, and I can also play a few other instruments- can't go past the Scots/Irish/Australian style music though. My favourite bands of this type are North Sea Gas (Scottish), The Clancy Brothers, The Dubliners, The Irish Rovers and The Fureys (Irish), and The Bushwackers (Australian).
I'm also a bit of a book-worm. My favourite authors at the moment are Val McDermid and Ian Rankin. I'm a big fan of the English TV show "The Bill" (though much more of an "Old Bill" fan- any other fans out there will know what I mean! I also enjoy "Taggart", the "Rebus" telemovies and many others of that ilk. In other words, I'm a big crime-fiction fan!
I also love my FOOTY!!!!!!! (Aussie Rules of
course- none of that Rugby nonsense for me 
) I've been a passionate Hawthorn supporter for as long as I can
remember. I love my mighty Hawks!!!!!!!
