Amiboshi's younger brother, rough and over-protective. Like Amiboshi, he can play the flute, but his weapon of choice is the ryuuseisui, only controlled through telekinesis, which says a bit about Suboshi himself. His approach to things is as personal and impersonal as it can be. He fell in love with Yui after she comforted him when his brother "died," which he felt both physically and emotionally. In order to get revenge, he killed Tamahome's family. Huh... that pretty much put me off of him. He distanced himself from the crime, clinging to the justice. His ideals are warped and corrupted, partially because of Nakago's influence, but Suboshi is really a kind person who cannot control himself and acts rashly, thinking it through only after the act has been committed. He loves and hates with all his heart, giving himself entirely to a cause, whether or not there is any rational basis for what he does and says to others. He carries a grudge against Tamahome for being the one Yui claims to love and the one he blames for his brother's death, and he hates Miaka because he feels she is responsible for Yui's suffering. Eventually his actions caught up with him and his own ryuuseisui impaled him when Tamahome saved Miaka from his wrath. As he died, he uttered Yui and his brother's names, a testement to his death being for the sake of love rather than hate.
