Miaka soon confesses her love to Tamahome, who admits the same to her. Realizing the danger she's in by staying with her, as well as the danger his family is in, he surrenders himself to Yui. Miaka then marches forward to collect her remaining Seishi in order to get Tamahome back. She first finds Tasuki, soon followed by Mitsukake and Chiriko. But as soon as she told Tamahome that she was going to go and get him from Kutou, Yui's country, he's poisoned and no longer remains a part of the Suzaku Seishi. He remembers none of his love to Miaka. He sides with Yui and Nakago, one of Yui's Seishi, and nearly dies from it before he was able to remember. Then They attempted to call on Suzaku, but it was reveiled that Chiriko was not Chiriko at all but on of the Seiryuu Seishi Amiboshi. He soon died. Then Miaka discovered a new way to call on Suzaku and continues forward to complete it. But so did Yui...
