Nakago was orphaned when he was a small child (it was his own fault) and was discovered by the guard of the Emperor of Kutou Country to be a seishi of Seiryuu. He grew up in regality but was always tormented by the death of his mother. Nakago has only one thing in mind, to obtain ultimate power. He's your ordinary "world dominator."
I'm not a fan of Nakago... But there aren't many who are. But I don't hate him as much as Ashitare (go to Ashitare to find out...), but he's still throughly evil and I haven't read or watched someone as evil as him in a long while...if ever. But the one thing he had going for him was that he at least died with honour. There were many where the ultimate evil guy turns into a coward when he realized that he's going to lose... but not Nakago. He just stood there and let Tamahome totally run him through. I have to give credit to him for that.
