Hotohori is the emperor of Konan Country which he rules fairly and justly. Both of his parents are deceased, his advisors take care of his every need. Hotohori had been told of "Suzaku no Miko" when he was a child and has yearned to love that woman who would be "Suzaku no Miko". He has an weird way of admiring himself and is quite the narcissist. Hotohori finds himself in love with Miaka and tries to win her, but finds that the love between Tamahome and Miaka is much stronger then his own. Poor Poor Hotohori :(
