I didn't come to enjoy Incubus (no pun intended) until the shows in TN and SC.  They were incredible!  The guys had so much energy.   My eyes and ears were opened to the fact that they did have some really good songs and that Pardon Me and Stellar did not do the band justice.  Well, not in my opinion, anyway. Songs like The Warmth, Make Yourself, Nowhere Fast and Drive really stood out in their set, and I saw that they were indeed very good musicians.  Brandon's voice blew me away, and every riff that Mike played sounded amazing.  It was wild watching Dirk play bass because he's so good.  Hes really fast.  During one song, he even played a fretless bass, and I've heard that's very difficult.  It's amazing to know that every single one of them is self-taught in their instruments.

In TN, maybe an hour or so after our arrival, Incubus' bus pulled in.  Brandon came out and this kid went up to him and got him to autograph his shoe.  I wanted to get a picture with him, because I thought he was cute, but I felt that it would be really stupid since I didn't even like his band.  He got his bike out from a lower compartment in bus and began walking by us.  I turned around to him and said, "Hey Brandon," with a quick little grin, and he said, "Hello," back with a great big smile. He has a wonderful smile.  The next night in SC, he was backstage for the longest time.  Melina and I were sitting down next to Chi and Brandon came over.  Chi introduced us to him, and Brandon shook our hands.  Then Kilmore came over and Chi put his arm around his shoulder and said, "We're the only two guys with dreads on this tour. But Kilmores the good looking one."  Oh Chi is so hard on himself.  That night, I was planning on getting a picture with Brandon, because I felt that I should for some strange reason.  But after he finished talking to us, he left and I didn't see him again for the rest of the night.  I think he went out to talk to the kids who were waiting outside.  I was disappointed that I didnt get a picture, but I didnt let it bother me. I didn't like Incubus anyway right? Right.
