Through many programs, Last Hope, Inc., a not for profit organization established in 1981, is attempting to reduce the tremendous dog and cat overpopulation problem on LI, NY. Our mission is to encourage responsible and economic pet ownership; and transform the public image of the typical pound animal. All of our cats and dogs up for adoption are fully veterinarian tested, have all their shots, are leukemia negative and are spayed/neutered. We only deal with rescued or death-due pound animals. We do not take anyone's unwanted home pets. If you have an animal to give up, please refer to our FAQ page.
