Airport thoughts (PG-13; Mary Sue)
A man who just checked in his baggage turns around to head for the gates.
He is in his fifties, tall, but not too tall, dark-haired, with salt and pepper beard and lively eyes.
He slowly turns around and whispers: "Are you ready for this?"
Only when he smiles at me do I realize that I have been staring at him. For a moment, I thought he was
someone else.
I feel foolish.
How could I even confuse him with someone else when I know that someone else is a 8 hour flight away?
Now Comest the Night (PG-13. Mason/Mary; tissue warning)
A room without a view. The sheets on the cheap motel bed are shabby, the storm outside is still raging. He left without a word.
Had to. If I was in his shoes, I would have done the same thing.
I wouldn't have wanted to talk to anyone either, neither my friends, nor my family.
My family. What a strange word. Did I ever have family? A mother who blamed me for everything that went wrong in her life,
a clueless sister who always went asking for trouble. A husband. Oh, yes, that was definitely top of the list.
But then again, I didn't need any family. I had him.

Insignificance
was the word that best described me,
My hopes and my dreams were always the same,
Insignificant
the way I dressed, the way I talked
Nothing particular about me
My teachers wouldn't even remember my name.
Moments.
There was the moment you walked
Into a room and into my life
And nothing was the same.
You must have known me,
And I began to see myself.
You were my mirror and I was your shadow.

needed to tell you what you changed in me
But you were too far for me to reach
So I had to read the magic words of others
To be close to you.
The
words remained with me as I grew up
I built my life on words
