Chapter 4: Surprise, Surprise

�Alexander James McLean, where are you!� Ally shrieked as she busted through the door to the boys dressing room without knocking.

�Hello to you too,� AJ said, stepping out of the bathroom.

�I need to have a word with you. Alone!� she said as she gave an icy glare to the rest of the boys.

�What�s her problem?� Brian whispered as the exited the room.

�I don�t know, but boy is AJ gonna get it,� Howie whispered back.

�How could you have brought that girl on stage? What were you thinking? Do you realize how embarrassed I was to have my boyfriend flirt with another girl on stage?� she fired her questions at him.

�Her name is Eve and I thought it would be interesting. Get some audience participation,� he said with a laugh.

�You were trying to impress her. I heard you say it,� she accused.

�Ally, these jealous fits of yours have to stop. It was nothing, baby, believe me,� he said as he moved towards her. He put his arms around her waist and tried to kiss her, but she pulled away.

�I don�t believe you. I saw how you looked at her today. That�s how you first looked at me. You like her don�t you?�

�I barely know her.�

�But it�s obvious you�re into her. I mean it�s obvious she wants you,� Ally sobbed.

�Ally, your imagination needs a vacation. Frankly, I can�t take your accusations anymore,� AJ said.

�Well I can�t handle you flirting with every girl you see,� Ally said, anger building up inside her.

�Then maybe you can�t handle me,� he shot back.

�Maybe I can�t. Maybe you should just go off with what�s her name,� Ally cried.

�Maybe I will!� AJ screamed.

�That�s it! I�m going to the hotel and I�m leaving in the morning. I hope you have a nice life AJ McLean because it won�t be with me,� she screamed as she ran out the door.

�Good riddance,� AJ said, collapsing in a chair.

******At The Hotel******

Back at the hotel I walked around the room in a daze.

I can�t believe that happened, I thought.

I didn�t know whether I should be excited or upset. I mean I was pulled on stage by a Backstreet Boy. On the other hand it was so embarrassing being referred to as the girl who didn�t like the Backstreet Boys.

�Ugh!� I groaned in frustration.

I paced the room a little more then flopped down on the bed. I didn�t know what to think. Kayla was over at Juliet and Kassandras room so I decided to wander the hotel, hoping to get my mind off things.

I headed towards the elevator, but just as I turned the corridor I collided with a small blonde girl.

�Watch where you�re going,� she snapped not looking at me.

�I�m sorry. I didn�t--� I stopped when I realized who I had run into. �You�re Ally, right? AJs girlfriend,� I said.

�Ex-girlfriend,� she said looking up. After looking at me for a second anger flared in her eyes. �You!� she cried. �You�re the reason we broke up!�

�Me?!� I exclaimed. �How could it possibly be my fault?� I asked bewildered.

�When he met you today I noticed how he looked at you. It was as if fireworks went off in his eyes. He obviously fell for your seductive look,� she accused.

�What are you talking about?� I asked, still quite confused.

�My boyfriend fell for you. You, you, temptress! I bet that was your plan. Try and steal my boyfriend. Well it worked and you can have him. It�s obvious you want him,� she spat and stormed off down the hall.

That girl needs serious help, I thought. What was she talking about, AJ liking me, me liking AJ. I don�t even know him. All these thoughts raced through my mind as I continued my way to the lobby.

Still pondering what Ally had said to me, I ran into yet another person.

�I am so sorry,� I apologized, but quickly regretted it when I realized who I had plowed into. �Oh, it�s you,� I said, slightly annoyed.

�I�m on a roll. I�ve successfully managed to piss of two women today,� AJ said, more to the rest of the boys then to me.

�Not so much pissed off as annoyed,� I said. �But Ally on the other hand, she�s pissed and not just at you.�

�Wait, you saw Ally?� AJ asked.

�Yeah, it seems I like to run into people tonight,� I said.

�Who else is she pissed at? What did she say to you?� he questioned.

�Basically, she blamed me for your break-up,� I said, not wanting to get into detail.

�I�m so sorry,� he apologized. �Let me make it up to you. The guys and I planned on settling in and then going out to get a drink. Why don�t you come with us?�

�I could use a drink right about now, but I can�t leave my sister and her friends,� I replied.

�They�re more then welcome to come too,� Nick said eagerly.

�One slight problem, they�re eight-teen!� I cried.

�And you�re only twenty, so what?� AJ said.

�Fine,� I said, caving in. �But only because you owe me for embarrassing me,� I said as I pushed him playfully.

�How did I embarrass you?� he questioned as he and the boys followed me to the elevator.

�By dragging me on stage tonight,� I exclaimed. �Normally I love being the center of attention, but that was a little much.�

�But you looked like you were having so much fun,� Kevin said as he recalled the frightened expression on my face.

�Oh, it was a blast and a half. I just wish I could do it again,� I said sarcastically.

Everyone laughed then AJ piped up.

�Be careful of what you wish for. It might come true,� he said with a mischievous grin.

�You�re right. You never know what will happen,� I replied, smiling at him.
We walked down the corridor and stopped at my room.

�Let me get the girls while you boys settle in and we�ll meet you in the lobby in half an hour,� I suggested.

�Until then,� AJ said, kissing my hand.

He is definitely a cutie, I thought as I walked into my room. I wonder if what Ally said is true. Does AJ like me? And more importantly, am I falling for him?
