Tom's Onarock SiteOur marvelous trip to the Boundary Waters |
|
When you have lakes like this, what more can you ask! We set out on a 14 day wilderness trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, a designated wilderness area within Superior National Forest in Minnesota, an area teeming with history, beauty and the bounties of nature... lakes, rocks, wildlife, and yes, mosquitos! (They cannot go without mention... later maybe I will tell you about the flies!). But first you should meet the the folks that braved the wilds (and the mosquitos... one can never forget them). |
|
| Well, next I think I will do animals. We saw quite a variety (no lions and tigers but definitely bears!). | |
| What is the Boundary Waters without Lakes. Here is a selection of what we saw... the first of several I'm sure. More to come! | |
| Besides canoeing, setting up and breaking camp, eating, sleeping, and making all of the associated noises (that you don't get to or shouldn't make at work), there are lots of other things to do. A few of those are displayed here. Watch for a follow-up page on this one. | |
| Well, as I promised I have posted some Sunsets. These are pure heaven so please enjoy. | |
| Since this was a canoeing trip, I thought I would dedicate a page to the boats. They are essential [duh] to a canoeing trip and become intimate companions. | |
Bye, now.
