LA HOLIDAY BASKET BRIGADE SCHEDULE

For Los Angeles ONLY

GETTING THE PRODUCE DONATION IN WILMINGTON

7:00 A.M.	(245 North Fries Avenue, at C Street )
Directions:	Take the 405 freeway to the 110 freeway South to C Street. The offramp takes you directly to C Street, heading East. At the corner of C Street & Fries Ave., look for a warehouse with a "Bekin's" sign. Park and enter on C Street. Other groups will be at the warehouse too, so find the "Basket Brigade Group". Please sign your name on the list as soon as you join us, because we really need that info as early as possible to plan if you're helping with the deliveries.
	ORGANIZING AND ASSEMBLING "HOLIDAY BASKETS" (THE WILMINGTON RECREATION CENTER) (325 Neptune Avenue, at C Street)
Directions:	The Wilmington Recreation Center is in a park a few blocks West of the Warehouse. We'll move the fresh produce from the warehouse to the Wilmington Recreation Center. Then we'll organize the fresh produce, food and toys, and will assemble hundreds of holiday packages. Come and meet some wonderful people and have fun at the "Basket Brigade Party"!

BASKET DELIVERY MEETING (Required to deliver baskets)


	Bring a snack for yourself, if you'd like. We'll have the Basket Delivery Strategy Meeting and form our Delivery Teams.

DELIVERING THE "HOLIDAY BASKETS"

Those who volunteer to deliver the "Holiday Baskets" will drive to a community of low-income families. Come and join other wonderful people, or bring your family and friends to help make up a delivery team. You'll create memories you'll never forget! Volunteer teams get to deliver surprise Holiday Baskets & toys personally to each family, with a printed message:

"This Basket comes to you from someone who cares about you. All we ask is that you take care of yourself well enough to be able to do this for someone else someday. Happy Holidays!"

Afternoon	CELEBRATE !!!
	Celebrate an incredible day of bringing joy to the lives of others! Some volunteers go out to eat afterward to celebrate and share stories about the event. When you sit down to YOUR holiday dinner, remember the families and children who know you care and the countless lives you touched IN A SINGLE DAY!
